A Perfect Circle
So Long, and Thanks for All the Fish
Tuning: C# F# B E G# C#
Notes:
1. Bass intro is my best guess but it sounds okay and is fun to play.
2. The rhythm guitar is usually the bass in this song, so again these are just my approximations.
3. The “soaring” lead that occurs after the verse has got a few nuances in it that I didn’t capture entirely.

hi i just decided to start learning this song and ive noticed on the soaring lead part that you have g#--11--11--
--14--14--
Which i worked out is almost correct what ive made it to be is --11--11-- Besides that it was spot on thanks
--12--12--
+1

I had the same question about the tuning, but tab sounds great!

Why C# tuning? The lowest note in the entire tab is an E, right? And the only string you ever hit as low as the 3rd fret is the 6th string. I'm not particularly adept at the music side of things. Is there a "music theory" reason for the C# tuning? (it sounds pretty good, if only I could pay better :D )
