i prefer to use a slide like ur suppost to

nicely transcribed, it does sound good however the whole thing was originally written in open D tuning, and is easier to play in open D, particularly with a slide. The guitar pro has the correct tab, perhaps some kind soul will upload it in text format? Open D tuning: e -> d b -> a g -> f# d -> d a -> a e -> d

The best way too play this song is too free style it, If you try following not just this tab but any tab you will only sound robotic. Use your ears, Listen carefully too what John is playing and add your own style and flare, believe me it's the only way you will get this riff too sound right.
