[Verse 1]
C Am
I couldn't count every freckle,
F G
Couldn't count every line you've rolled your eyes over at me for.
C Am
In a parking lot light, with a stripped smile,
F
You're making that look
G
Like it's funny that you're causing me trouble.
C Am
In a back car seat, reminding me
F
That even in a wreck,
G
I've got someone for holding.
[Verse 2]
C Am
I'm losing sleep. Well, how could I ever
F
Close my eyes when you're brown
G
And good days green right next to me?
C
I'm losing my mind.
Am
I swore it wouldn't happen this time.
F
But if love makes you stupid,
You're making me the biggest fool
G
You'll ever find.
[Verse 3]
C Am
So make me yours from this day forward.
F
And I'll grow to be somebody you deserve
G
With promises for all that we're worth.
C
And I'll remember every word
Am
And every silly little quirk.
F
The way you bite your lips,
G
Pretending you're innocent.
[Verse 4]
C Am
And all of it's spent in a blanket fort of secrets.
F
Oh you make me a child
G
In love with the world through your lens.
C
And all of it's spent in the sheets
Am
you kick to the end of the bed.
F
I'll make every morning with your side
G
A bit of a mess.
[Outro]
F
Cause that's how you like it.
Fm
And I really like you.
C Am F G C
Oh, I love you to death.

How to play

The real way to play this song on guitar is as following:
Capo 5, with five individual three-string chords. (You can transpose up five on this version to help you keep the chords straight, but they are still incorrect.)
I will equate the real chords with the comment above explaining the guitar chords.
G: 320xxx
Em = 220xxx (it is NOT an Em, it’s a form of F#)
C: x320xx
D: 554xxx
The minor chord at the end of the song is a sort of Cm, although above they call it an Fm.
Fm = x310xx
To recap:
G: 320xxx
Em = 220xxx (Really an F#)
C: x320xx
D: 554xxx
Fm= x310xx (Really a Cm)

for guitar players
C: G
Am: Em
F: C
G: D
Fm: just play what it says on the chord diagram but on the last 4 strings of the guitar, also i personally think this sounds better with capo 1, but idk addie's beautiful voice is pretty low.
