The C/B chord you call out is not a C/B chord. x-2-5-x-x-x is just playing B and G at the time, This harmony can be found in the following chords: Gmaj or Em, and if you wanna get really weird it could also be G augmented, Eb augmented. I like to voice that cord like this: 0-2-5-4-x-x. which is E-B-G-B-x-x... the triad being E G B which is technically Em. I think the most important part is voicing that B on the 3rd string. It is the most prominent note in the chord
