Descriptions:
1.) It is clear, even though the fuzz effect makes hearing difficult, that
the G chord in the intro is a power chord with the D4 note (3rd fret B string)
added on. I can clearly hear that D4 note throughout the intro. There is no B3
(4th fret G string) or G4 note (3rd fret e string) played as there typically is
in a G major chord (355433). Those strings are muted. On that chord (355x3x) my finger
placement is (t/r/p/m/pt/pt) or thumb, ring, pinky, muting with the middle, pointer,
muting with the pointer. This finger placement provides the easiest and most precise
playing of the chord and a quick transition into the 3-6-3 and 5b7 bend. You may find
that another finger placement benefits you or that Dan had a particular one that
benefitted him. Please use whatever is easiest.
 
2.) The 5b7 bend in the intro is a little unique. It's not a straightforward bend
from C to D. It's more like you bend it halfway and then wiggle it a little bit.
 
3.) Starting at 0:15, I play the (221) of the F Maj with ring/pinky/middle because it allows
for easier transition to the G minor. I slide with ring and pinky, release the middle,
and barre my pointer finger and slide it on from the 1st fret to the 2nd. Playing
without the capo allows for easier transition between F Maj and Gm but makes some of
the licks harder to play.
 
4.) At 2:49, it's difficult to tell how the solo starts as the effects drown a lot of
noise out, but it seems there is a D4 note (2nd fret B string) played and then a pre-bend
on 2nd fret G-string that then turns into a whole step bend.
 
5.) I tried to put the lyrics in with the beat but the rhythm was so f*&^ing weird and so tiring
to keep track of that I couldn't take it any more and had to stop. Much like what happened between
3:09 and 3:30
 
6.) I'm not sure what effect is used for the solo. It sounds like fuzz with the treble all the way
down and all the Hi's taken out. You can hear reverb getting dialed up around 3:40.
