The acoustic version on that gold disc that looks like a dub actually starts with an AMaj bar chord 6str root. It does sound weird within the intro/verse of the progression; almost minor. The next chord is same form a half step down only minor this time, so G#m, then a C#m, which completes the intro. It actually cuts the 3rd chord out thats within the main progression, (which is F#m). The intro is also cut in time. 3/4 I guess. Sounds hurried. Listen to it. Anyway after the intro it’s standard 4/4 A,G#m,F#m,C#m. The chorus is actually AMaj to BMaj and this time the A def sounds Major. A key change, maybe? Man, Brad was down. This dude sang with so much rude ass soul
+1

Actually, I think it's G#, Gb, C#m, A based on the clean recording on the deluxe edition.
