I honestly have no idea how they get the heavier effect, I’m guessing (and playing) with an octave
down pedal mixed in with the original signal. Repeat quite a few times.

Even though not 100% complete, deserved 5 stars for the first and really great tab of this masterpiece. Pretty much everything sounds correct. Btw, the heavy riffs do indeed use an octaver (there's a pretty cool rig rundown video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bNHB-CoEfdc -> 9:00), and most if not all cleans also have a vibrato on them (especially obvious in the intro).
