D#/Ebm
The dancer slows her frantic pace
In pain and desperation,
F#/Gb
Her aching limbs and downcast face
B
Aglow with perspiration
D#/Ebm
Stiff as wire, her lungs on fire,
With just the briefest pause
F#/Gb
The flooding through her memory,
B C#/Db
The echoes of old applause.
She limps across the floor
F#/Gb D#/Eb
And closes her bedroom door...

(This pattern follows through out the verse)
D#/Ebm
The writer stares with glassy eyes
Defies the empty page
F#/Gb
His beard is white, his face is lined
B
And streaked with tears of rage.
D#/Ebm
Thirty years ago, how the words would flow
With passion and precision,
F#/Gb
But now his mind is dark and dulled
B C#/Db
By sickness and indecision
And he stares out the kitchen door
F#/Gb D#/Eb
Where the sun will rise no more...
D#/Eb C#/Db G#/Ab

This is one of my favourite all time Rush song. Since I didn't find a full tab or chord
for this song I thought it was time for someone to do it.
It was a pleasure figuring out the tab and chords for this incredible song and I'll hope
enjoy it as much as I do!

Good tab, but C#/Db is just C#. Why you would notate it as C#/Db I do not know.
+2

Thanks a lot... there's actually another tab, and it's also very well made, but your approximation is easier to play and adapt to regular meters if necessary. The tab I'm telling you about can be found at https://www.cygnusproductions.com/rtp/guitar/guitar.asp along with many other Rush tabs... If you want to correct yours, I'd recommend starting by looking at that one. Thanks for tabbing man!
