The notes in parentheses are optional, but I hear them being played sometimes in the song.
If you find it hard to play the intro riff, I suggest playing the G#m and C#m like this.

Where 2, 3, and 4 correspond to the middle finger, ring finger, and pinky. This fingering frees up the index
finger to play the other notes of the riff.
