(It might be easiest to use
finger-picking (I'm a classical guitarist, so that's usually what I do), but do what's
comfortable. In terms of the amp effects, strike a balance between clean and distorted)
[Main riff]
(clean) Occasionally palm muted
e|--9-------9-----9\7-------7------------11------------12----12\-|
B|------5-------5-------5-------5-----8-----8---8---9-----9------|
G|----6---6---6-------6---6---6---6-8---8-----8---9---9-----9----|

G|-----6---6---6-------6---6---6---6-8---8-----8---4--------(4)---|
D|----------------------------------------------------------------|
A|----------------------------------------------------------------|
E|----------------------------------------------------------------|
(In the background is another guitar, distorted with what sounds like wah-wah)
e|-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------|
B|-----------------------------------------------------------------------------9-------------------|
G|--8b9==========================---8b9r8=====================-------8--9--11------8b9=============|
D|---------------------------------------------------------------11--------------------------------|

[Transition to and from chorus]
(distorted)
e|---------------------------------------------------|
B|---------------------------------------------------|
G|---------------------------------------------------|
D|--------11----------11----------11----------11-----|

E|--12-12-12-12-12-12-12-12-12-12-12-12-12-12-12-12--|
[Chorus riff]
(heavy distortion)
(Here's where it starts getting messier, where there are several tracks of guitars into
one sound. This is what I think is a fair approximation of what it all sounds like)
e|---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------|
B|---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------|
G|---------------13=======13\11---------11-11-9-11b--------------------------------------------------|
D|---------11----------11----------7----------------------------11-------------------------13--13b---|
A|---12-12----12----12----------9-----9--------------------7----------7-------------10---------------|
E|---------------------------------------------------9--9-----9----9-----9--11--11-----11------------|
[Bridge 1]
(heavy distortion)

G||----------6--------------6-----------6==/7\6---6-6-4-6-6-4--|
D||--7-------6------4-------6-------2---6==/7\6---6-6-4-6-6-4--|
A||--7-------4------4-------4-------2---4==/5\4---4-4-2-4-4-2--|
E||--5--------------2---------------0--------------------------|
^looks stupid, but it's just a slide up and down
[Bridge 2]
This one is a bit confused in the song, with a couple clashing guitars against each other.
4 times, then
e|---------------------------------------------------------|-----|
B|------10-----------10------------10-----------10---------|-----|
G|-------------9------------9-------------9------------9---|--9--|
D|---------------------------------------------------------|--6--|
A|----------6------------6-------------6------------6------|--6--|
E|--9-------------9------------9-------------9-------------|--9--|
[Solo]
(heavy distortion, wah-wah)
Do lots of vibrato on this one, both bending and traditional.
e||--17======/19--16------------------------------------17======/19--16------------------------21---19|
B||--------------------19---19b===r-19brh17-------------------------------19---19b===r-19brh17--------|
G||-----------------------------------------18---16--18-----------------------------------------------|
D||---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------|
A||---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------|
E||---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------|
e|-----------------------------------------21---19----------------------------------------21---19-----|
B|-------------------------------------------------------------/14-----/14br-----/14------------------|
G|----------------------------------------------------------9-----------------------------------------|
D|----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------|
A|----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------|
E|----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------|
(Then there's something that's either a guitar with a pitch effect pedal set really high
or a keyboard. Either way, I tabbed this an octave down to be playable on a normally
tuned guitar)
e|--17h12----17h12----17h12---17h12----17h12----17h12----17h12----17h12----|
B|*-------14-------14-------14------14-------14-------14-------14-------14-|
G|-------------------------------------------------------------------------|
D|-------------------------------------------------------------------------|
A|*------------------------------------------------------------------------|
E|-------------------------------------------------------------------------|
e|--16h12----16h12----16h12----16h12----------------------------------------|
B|--------12-------12-------12-------12-17h14----17h14----17h14----17h14---*|
G|--------------------------------------------13-------13-------13-------13-|
D|--------------------------------------------------------------------------|
A|-------------------------------------------------------------------------*|
E|--------------------------------------------------------------------------|
e|17--12--------------12--16--------------12--12-----17--12---------|
B|--------14--12--14----------14--12--14---------------------12--12-|
G|------------------------------------------------------------------|

A|------------------------------------------------------------------|
E|------------------------------------------------------------------|
e|-16h12----16h12----16h12----16h12---|
B|-------12-------12-------12-------12|
G|------------------------------------|
D|------------------------------------|
A|------------------------------------|
E|------------------------------------|
(More tapping from above until the end of the song, then fade out)
So the order goes roughly like this. If it's too confusing to read... then don't.
[Intro] - Main riff
[Verse] 1 - Main riff
[Transition]
[Chorus riff] x2
[Transition]
[Back to verse - Main riff]
[Verse 2 - Main riff] (palm muted) x2
[Transition]
[Bridge 1] x2
[Chorus riff] x4 (some variation here, I'm sure you can figure it out)
[Bridge 2]
[Break]
[Main riff] (alternate clean with heavy distortion, some variation)
Also at this part is a little fill in the background
e|--------------|
B|--------------|
G|------9--11b--|
D|--11----------|
A|--------------|
E|--------------|
[Bridge 1]
[Chorus riff] x2
[Transition]
[Solo]

the trick with the verse riff is that troy is using a 12 string (see the first 20 seconds of this video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YecT3U6Vhmo )
e||-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------|
B||-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------|
G||-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------|

I think you're really close, but the verse might be easier this way:
e||--9-------9-----9\7-------7------------11------------12----12\-|
B||----------------------5-------5-----8-----8---8---9-----9------|
G||-----9--------9-----6---6---6---6-8---8-----8---9---9-----9----|
D||---11--11--11--------------------------------------------------|
A||---------------------------------------------------------------|
E||---------------------------------------------------------------|
It's easier than that stretch anyways.
And the chorus sounds like it might be this:
e||--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------|
B||---------------------------------------7--7---7b--------------------------------------------|
G||---------------13=======13\11---------------9--------------6-------------------------8--9---|
D||---------11----------11----------7----------------------------------------------------------|
A||----0--0-----0----12----------9-----9-------------7-----7----7-----7----------10------------|
E||-----------------------------------------------------9----------9---(9)/11--11----11--------|

I find the verse harder that way. But your chorus variant sure is a lot more playable.
