Note: This is the most accurate chords with the recording. I believe that these are the
correct chords that Peter Yarrow of Peter, Paul and Mary plays without a capo in PP&M's
1983 album called Such Is Love.

D7 G Am G Am
After all, I've come to know me, and the ways of my heart
        G Am Bm Am G
and the young man that I once was could have torn our love apart.
G F Am G
When you're young - always looking at the far side of the hill,
G F Am G
You might miss the fairest flower, standing by you very still.

(Note: Chords in the same sequence for the rest of this song especially verse 2)

[Verse 2]

Love is never, like the stillness, (like the stillness) Love is always passing by.
Love must flow on (Love must flow on) like a river, (Like a river) try to hold love back and love will die.
If I'd known as a young man, what I know of love today,
I've been lain down in that river, and let it wash my soul away.

(Chorus) (x2)

[Ending]

D7 G
Now, I know love

Have you considered having the When you're young verse go from the F to an Em instead of to the Am. Seems to flow melodically better. Could be my voice, too.
