A truly great song that completely embodies the spirit of the early 2000s sound.

A few notes:
1. This is a tough one to play on your own unless you have a looper. The rhythm part uses only
two notes per chord, one of the notes being a stationary pedal note. When taken by itself, the the rhythm
chord often sounds somewhat undefined and the true chord voice only becomes clear when the lead guitar
and bass notes are added to the top. If you're playing along with the song, I'd recommend playing the
lead part. Even though it's simpler, when you've got your amp cranked up and your distortion pedal dimed,
believe me, it's the part that's going to make you feel the blood in your veins.
2. I've stacked the rhythm and lead parts in the intro to help with the note placement of the lead notes.

A valiant effort! It's a hard song to decipher. I'll have to be that guy, please don't take this the wrong way, it's constructive criticism at best :) I am working on my own version and i've discovered that David uses a special alt-tuning for this song, which I haven't figured out yet. It's not Drop-D or DADGAD, it's something else. You can notice this if you check live renditions of the song from archive footage videos on Youtube, anything late-90s to 2006-ish. It's a time where David had a tuner on his pedalboard and tuned with the volume on. It's driving me mad but i'll eventually figure it out. He uses alt-tuning a lot in Pedro in order to make some of his songs easier to play live and "sound" bigger, or just because he wrote it that way. Heck, maybe you will be the one to figure it out ;) Cheers mate

Nice, this sounds like it might be more accurate than mine (version 2) as far as teasing out the actual individual parts especially if you either have 2 guitarists or a device that can play an alternate part. Good ear! I think if I'm just playing solo I like having blended the parts to eke out as much of the feel of the ensemble as possible, but that's just personal preference.
