E A E Figure 1
Roll away your stone I will roll away mine
E A E Figure 1
Together we can see what we will find
E A E Figure 1

For I am afraid of what I will discover inside

You told me that I wouldn't find a home
Beneath the fragile substance of my soul
And I have filled this void with things unreal
And all the while my character it steals
Chorus
C# A E Figure 1
Darkness is a harsh term don't you think
C# A E
Yet it dominates the things I see
Verse 3
It seems that all my bridges have been burned
But you say 'That's exactly how this grace thing works
It's not the long walk home that will change this heart
But the welcome I receive with every start
Chorus (same)
Darkness is a harsh term don't you think
And yet it dominates the things I see
Darkness is a harsh term don't you think
And yet it dominates the things I see

E A B E
Stars hide your fires

For these here are my desires

And I won't give them up to you this time around
E A B E
And so I will be found
E A B E
With my stake stuck in the ground

Marking the territory of this newly impassioned soul

And you, you've gone too far this time
A B E
You have neither reason nor rhyme

With which to take this soul that is so rightfully mine

I'm pretty sure the tuning is DADF#AD (capoed II = EBEG#BE)....DADF#AE dont work at all :S. And both commenters are pretty wrong i'd say.
Firstly, there is definitley a capodastra involved here. How on earth do you claim to know how its played in the "album version"? Try playing it to your tuning and with no capo...sounds shite.
secondly, Try

This is obviously just a rough cut/paste/edit of the guy aboves comment but I think it sounds close.
That last chord isn't right but it does sound pretty nice to the tune.
I know the way i'm sticking to playin it.

If you want album version, no capo and Intro should be-

Apologies for the awful chord naming, really didn't think it through at all apart from recognising that there were a couple of G#'s in it so assumed that was the root - and then just guessed from the sound (which, on reflection, is actually pretty close to an augmented G#min).
But using Doccface's (correct) tuning of DADF#AD and with a CAPO ON THE 2ND FRET the 440000 chord is just an Emaj7/G#. I guess it would be an Emaj9/G# if you use the tuning on the original tab cos there'd be the F# as well as the maj 7th.
Anyway, enough of anal chord naming, hopefully you agree that while the G#dim7 label was totally wrong, the 440000 (or 444000) chord is...um...totally right. man.
