For free playing metal: Phrygian mode with simple finger pattern over two octaves with root power chords across neck.Esta informação foi útil?
Afinação: | E A D G C F |
---|---|
Capotraste: | sem capotraste |
Note the alternate tuning. Do NOT uptune your high B and E string to C&F bc SNAP.
INSTEAD...
Downtune EADG "x frets"
Downturn B&e "x-1 frets"
Ex: Ebb Abb Dbb Gbb Bb Eb (D G C A Bb Eb)
This is a safer, lower, all fourths tuning.
ALL fourths tuning gets rid of the awkwardness of the B string interval.
Learn a diddy anywhere and play it anywhere else without worrying about the B string.
It also allows for a super easy 3 note per string arrangement (very metal).

! = Why the shape is on fret 7
Theory: Playing Phrygian mode in key of E has no sharps/flats,
which is the most metal way to get used to the sounds of C Major (Ionian).
Memorize this shape and start free playing metal.
Slide everything up/down/across without worry to change key. TY All 4ths Tuning!
