The Downpour is track no. 19 on Silent Hill Downpour Original Soundtrack. This did not play in-game,
I believe. A different rendition of one of these phrases plus sound effects became the main menu
music, though.
 
Released for the PS3 and Xbox 360 in 2012, Downpour is the first game in the series to not have been scored
by Akira Yamaoka. Upon his departure from Konami, Daniel Licht took over the composing duties and is
credited for playing the mandolin, dulcimer, guitar, keyboard and percussion on the accompanying CD release.
 
I have seen clips of Daniel recording these instruments, so unlike Akira, he did not sample (most of) them.
Further visual confirmation came from his colleague Norman Kim playing some mandolin parts in a tribute
symphony after Daniel passed away.
 
This first segment was repurposed from another variation of a Downpour OST track, Stalking For Dinner.
A track from Book Of Memories, The Shop Room, too repurposes some. Both also among my tabs. Standard tuning
mandolin transcript in GDae. The mando plays with a sustained tremolo, but most of the track is ambience
from various strings, percussion, bass and some guitar lines with sound effects.
