The Lower A string takes the bass note for first two bars, then the Low D string for second 2 bars.
This basic pattern also includes the extra note in brackets() sounds fine without but gives the feel of two
guitars playing in unison. Once this is mastered I would then play the high D notes of the main melody!
 
 
Whilst I have included the A string in the rythym, the melody goes between the A and D string for lows
and the D and A string for highs.
