You have no verse 2, I am guessing the 1st verse 3 is a typo.

great job, the A E A you referred to works well I just stay in D shape and walk down on the A string frets 4th, 2nd and open.
I remember the initial feeling of loss and being crushed as many did when he left the earth. As a kid I was learning all his songs from one of those simplified quasi tab books I'd saved up for after paying $2.50 for LP (vinyl). "You don't mess around with Jim" or may be it was "Poems, Prayers and Promises" many decades have passed since I was a young man, where'd the soul and spirt of our music go?
We can only imagine how much more he would have been gifted to us had he stayed a while longer, kept living, kept writing. Its amazing, I hit the video link on one of his other songs and there he was explaining about Leroy Brown and his time in the Army, thing is he was looking directly into the Camera in a way that made it seem he was talking directly to you, something else to have that feeling like a time capsule, I was truly at a loss for words at that moment and could only shake my head in agreement. When the music and persona of someone does that years and years later...... had to have made a big impact. What we did get in such a short time is amazing, I think many of us unknowingly have kept his songs in our hearts even if they weren't a fan of Jims, out of nowhere his songs just pop up when you least expect it... operator, time in a bottle, Alabama rain, one less set of foot steps, lost goes on and on. God Bless you Jim where ever you are your still loved and missed by us down here scratching out life til our time comes..
