I guess we're leaving town again, we're moving out and moving in

Gotta break the news to all my friends but they won't care

To run way out past second base and just stand there
[Chorus]

Dreamsicle on a summer night in a folded lawn chair
Dm F C
Witches ring around the moon, baby get home soon
[Verse 2]

Poison oak and poison ivy and dirty jokes that blew right by me

And mama curling up beside me crying to herself
C
Why can't daddy just come home, forget whatever he did wrong
C G F
He's in a hotel all alone and we need help
[Chorus]
Dm C G
Dreamsicle on a summer night in a folded lawn chair

A heart breakin' through the springtime, breaking into June
[Solo]

[Verse 3]
C
Broken glass and broken vows, I'll be 18 four years from now

With different friends in a different town I'll finally be free

Call you both some holiday, tell you why I moved away
C G F
Say everything's gonna be ok, you can come see me
[Chorus]

I think this is in drop D tuning. At least in this acoustic performance it is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s2ygLmzahTg

Its a fine tab...but definitely drop D tuning...no capo...doesn't play the high e string...Em is more like Em7..and Am is Asus2...otherwise nice...hammer on/off the 2nd fret of the 5th string to sound like Jason when playing the D (Dsus2 since he's not using the 6th string)...great tune.

He plays it in G6 tuning (DGDGBe) in the key of D, no capo. The live show from Nashville’s Brooklyn Bowl is a great place to see his fingering
