Yes, these chord formations are correct, based on the standard chord formations. But what he is actually playing is not E, A, and B. George plays quite a few of his songs in extensively dropped tuning. From what I have seen on some of his live shows, he may even go as low as C or C#. For most of us, that would require some big changes to our guitar set up and strings. I know a few of my guitars wouldn't be able to pleasantly play strings that loose. Basically, E, A, and B would be correct, just in a different key from what he sings live or on the album. The Album version is D, G, and A. And most live versions appear to be a half step lower than that.......so although you "see" an E chord formation, he has his guitar dropped fairly low, almost in to baritone guitar range.
