This version of the intro is played on higher strings and lower frets on the guitar. This way the sound's vibrating frequency stays more stable and the flow won't get ruined by any minor finger misplacements. Since it's on higher strings, the sound will be clearer and it'll ring more, making it a bit more melodic. It also gives a lot of freedom and control in the left hand. You can easily utilize techniques such as hammer-ons, pull-offs, vibrato, slides. Music has no right or wrong interpretation. There are some parts of the intro where the notes are kind of tricky when it comes to timing.
Perhaps I can't represent the note durations and pauses of the composition with such a note table.
...But I'm sure you can figure it out by ear and by practicing. The notes are as they stand.
Advice:
Apply staccato in the initial notes of a bar.
Put a bit of vibrato at the end of notes because it will emphasize them.
And in between, use legato so the melody flows buttery smooth through space. :)
