Put The Finger On You - AC/DC
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tabbed by: Mike Pemberton (Cosmicbluibanez)

Email: mkpod7@aol.com
Tuning: Standard
This is the intro only, it's quite tricky for a novice but it's rewarding to get it
right. As always listen to the song for timing, it's in the 'For Those About To Rock'
Album.
USE FINGERPICKING!!
Personally I use my thumb for the open A string, 1st finger for the G string and 2nd finger
for the B string (or 1st finger for the D string and 2nd finger for the G string).

REPEAT
Another way that I have seen it played (in a book where there are mistakes) is
like this. But I think in a 1 guitar situation because of the slightly harder
G, B, e fretting it becomes harder to maintain the constant open A notes when
using fingerpicking. (Well it is for me!) Maybe this could be used in a 2 guitar
situation with the 2nd guitar just playing the open A or maybe an A5?

Mike, great assessment here. However, if you watch Angus live he plays the opening lick differently as he simplifies the Pre-chorus and Chorus. The fist 12 bars of the opening lick is played in the 7th position with the A/E notes played on the 7/9 fret on the D/G strings with the pedal note A open string. He then transitions to the G/B strings for the 7/8 fret and then 7/7 fret. Since Angus has small hands he never stretches unless he has too. He also plays the most simple way possible for his style. He never strays from the 7th position and only moves strings from D/G to G/B seamlessly. Also, the pre-chorus he is seen strumming the 4th positions chords rather than picking them. In an unusual twist live he does not play the 12th and 10th position riff which you hear on the album and chooses to thicken the sound by doubling Malcolm with open chords. Watch the live video and confirm.. but this is the live sound.. CHEERS
