the intro is close... i think this is the best tuning to play in, but when you slide up to the seventh fret, the 2nd string plays on the 8th fret.

Well, this is really close, but some minor errors. First, the guitars are nor drop tuned. (C# F# B E G# C#). It should be noted, that this song is in 3/4 time. The opening stanza is: intro/verse(00:04) x3 figure.1 |-------------------------------------------------------------| |----3------3------5------5------8------8--------10-------10--| |------0-------------0--------------0----------------0--------| |-------------------------------------------------------------| |--3------3---3/5-------5----5/7------7-----7/10-------10-----| |-------------------------------------------------------------| Note the change in the 3rd set from the 7th to 8th on 2nd string. and: guitar 2 underneath intro(00:13) |--15----------------14----------------15-------| |-----15----(4times)----15----(4times)----15----| |--------12----------------12----------------12-| |-----------------------------------------------| |-----------------------------------------------| |-----------------------------------------------| is actually: guitar 2 underneath intro(00:13) |---------------| |------(7)h-----| |--(5)h----(7)h-| |---------------| |---------------| |---------------| repeated as timing dictates. The last cycle of the opening stanza is: |----------------------------------------------------| |----3------3------3------3------5------5----5-------| |------0-------------0--------------0----------0-----| |----------------------------------------------------| |--3------3---3---------3----3/5------5---5----------| |------------------------------------------------2h5-| The heavy intro, (also the chorus), is: |-----0------------|---0-------------------|---0---------------| |-----0----3-------|---0-------------------|---0----3----------| |-----0----0-------|---0-------------------|--=0----0----------| |--2--2----0-------|2--2----5/4-4-5/4-4----|2--2----0----------| |--2--2----x-------|2--2----5/2-4-3/2-2----|2--2----x----------| |--0--0----3----2h5|0--0----3/2-2-3/2-2-2h5|0--0----3----5--5--| |-----0------------| |-----0----3-------| |-----0----0-------| |--2--2----0-------| |--2--2----x-------| |--0--0----3-------| Ok, I didn't time this out, but look at the chords and strum accordingly. Listen and you'll get it right away. ...and back to the opening stanza for the verses. Once you have these chords, it should be easy to get the timing between verse and chorus. The bridge: bridge(02:21)(x3) |----------------------------------------| |----------------------------------------| |----------------------------------------| |--7-7-7-7-7-7-7---10-10-10-10-10-10-10--| |--7-7-7-7-7-7-7---10-10-10-10-10-10-10--| |--7-7-7-7-7-7-7---10-10-10-10-10-10-10--| Is actually: bridge(02:21)(x3) |------------------------------------| |------------------------------------| |------------------------------------| |--7--7-7-9--9-9-10--10-10-16--16-16-| |--x--x-x-x--x-x-x---x--x--x---x--x--| |--5--5-5-7--7-7-8---8--8--14--14-14-| These chords follow the same pattern as the opening stanze, with the 2nd cycle holding the first chord, and the second cord being on the 3rd cycle back to the: |-0--| |-0--| |-0--| |-2--| |-2--| |-0--| Chord, back to the accoustic opening. I can't argue the solo, I never learned it. I can say with pretty fair accuracy that these corrections are right, as I was Theory's tech for the better part of 2 years, and learned this from Dave and Ty directly...not to mention, I tuned the guitars, so I know it wasn't drop tuning!
