Every version is missng the BA ba ba ba BABABA There are chord changes F#,F#6,F#7,F#6..F#,F#6,F#7 (You are right , do thhis sequence twice then move up to the G and do the same thing. You just hit each chord once quikly. G,G6,G7,G6...G,G6,G7
Each chord is a BA. They say Ba 7 times and you change chords 7 times. Everybody has missed it, but if you try it, you will see it sounds better.
