So I made this because I thought the first version on here was kinda off.
This works quite well without the capo, but if you want to play along the original record you'll need one
on the 8th fret. Have fun!
[Verse 1]
Am D
Maybe I listen more than you think
Em D
I can tell that somebody sold you
Am D
We said we’ve never let anyone in
Em D
We said we’d only die of lonely secrets
[Chorus]
C D G
The system only dreams in total darkness
Am
Why are you hiding from me?
C D G
We’re in a different kind of thing now
Am
All night you’re talking to God
[Verse 2]
Am D
I thought that this would all work out after a while
Em D
Now you’re saying that I’m asking for too much attention
Am D
Also no other faith is light enough for this place
Em D
We said we’d only die of lonely secrets
[Chorus]
C D G
The system only dreams in total darkness
Am
Why are you hiding from me?
C D G
We’re in a different kind of thing now
Am
All night you’re talking to God
[Bridge]
C D
I cannot explain it
G Am
Any other, any other way
C D
I cannot explain it
G Am
Any other, any other way
[Chorus]
C D G
The system only dreams in total darkness
Am
Why are you hiding from me?
C D G
We’re in a different kind of thing now
Am
All night you’re talking to God
[Outro]
C D
I cannot explain it
G Am
Any other, any other way
C D
I cannot explain it
G Am
Any other, any other way

I would say capo 1st fret, (transpose tool to +7)
VERSE: Em, A, Bm, A
CHORUS + BRIDGE + Outro: G, A, D, Em
Though I don't really like that Em at the end of the outro/bridge. Anyone got a suggestion for a replacement?

[USER]jakedoran[/USER] Try Em, A, D, G and also try G, A, D, G both sound solid to me

I know The National guitarist plays with capo on 3rd if its any help.
