with a capo, the bridge is E to C
I play this song without a capo, as it's easier to mimic the opening piano riff that way:
(Bm) (Bm7)(E) (E6)(E4)(A) (A2) (D) (DM7)
e--|---------|------------|----------|-2-
b--|---------|------2-0---|------2-0-|-3-
g--|-4---4-2-|-1--1-----2-|-2--2-----|-2-
D-4|---4-----|---
A--|---------|
E--|---------|
So Verse is Bm / E / A / D
Then Bridge is F# / D / F# / D
And the End is A / E / Bm / D

yeah you're right about 'needle in a doll' I found out about it just yesterday when the tabs was already pending (The trouble with Dessners is you either play it 100% correct with your twin brother or you keep it as simple as you can :))
sgsmaxwe - I took me some time to know what's Dmaj and F#min but you're right :) I changed it everywhere else too coz this song is pretty repetitive
Thanks for the opinions!

On the bit where he says "And everybody was gone" you've got Am there and I think it should be Em. Try it, I think it sounds better. Thanks for the chords, the capo on the 2nd fret is a huge help, I never would have thought of that. Saves me the trouble of the awkward Bm to E over and over. Love this song, it really kills me.
