I'm a huge fan of The National, but their songs are not easy to play or to cover
(most of them at least), neither to figure out actually :). The other chords
available here are based on a live show from The National and so are accurate to
the way the band plays the song, but they aren't really that much fun to play on
an acoustic guitar. I just tabbed my own version in about 10 minutes with pretty
much only simple chords.

Capo: 4th fret
Tuning: standard

Chords used:
G: 320033 or 320003
C: 032010
C2: 030010 (don't know the name of this chord)
C/E: 020010

[Verse]

G C C2 C/E G
Be still for a second while I try and try to pin your flowers on
        C C2 C/E
Nana na na
        G
Can you carry my drink I have everything else
      C
I can tie my tie all by myself
      G C C2 C/E
I’m getting tied, I’m forgetting why
         G C
Oh we’re so disarming darling, everything we did believe
   G C C2 C/E
is diving diving diving diving off the balcony

[Chorus]

G C C2
Tired and wired we ruin too easy
G C
sleep in our clothes and wait for winter to leave

G C C2 G
Hold ourselves together with our arms around the stereo for hours
     C C2 C/E
Nana na na

         G
While it sings to itself or whatever it does
        C
when it sings to itself of its long lost loves
       G C C2 C/E
I’m getting tied, I’m forgetting why

[Pre-Chorus]

G C C2
Tired and wired we ruin too easy
G C C2
sleep in our clothes and wait for winter to leave
G C
but I’ll be with you behind the couch when they come

C2 C/E G C

  C/E
on a different day just like this one

[Chorus]

G
We’ll stay inside til somebody finds us
C
do whatever the TV tells us
G C C2
stay inside our rosy-minded fuzz for days

C/E G
We’ll stay inside til somebody finds us
C
do whatever the TV tells us
G C
stay inside our rosy-minded fuzz

[Bridge]

C2 C/E G
so worry not
               C
all things are well
      C2 C/E G
we’ll be alright
             C C2 C/E
we have our looks and perfume

[Chorus]

G
stay inside til somebody finds us
C
do whatever the TV tells us
G C
stay inside our rosy-minded fuzz

C2 C/E G
so worry not
               C
all things are well
      C2 C/E G
we’ll be alright
             C C2 G
we have our looks and perfume on

very well done! it seems like a capo on 4 is closest to the recording, but you're right about putting it anywhere to meet your voice. 5 stars!

Thanks for commenting! Yeah, capo on 4th seems to be the closest to the recording, but my voice is too deep so I tend to change the capo's place in most songs I play, that's why I tell everyone to rather adjust the capo to the tone of their voice instead of making it sound like the original song.

The capo belongs on 2nd, the name of C2 is Csus2, and the name of the C/E (x2001x) you have can be called a Csus2/B, because B is the root note in this case not E. Legit tab though.
