                Am C G D
Let this be the epitaph for my heart
             Am C G D
Cupid put too much poison in the dart
            Am C G D
This is the epitaph for my heart
             C G D
because it's gone, gone, gone

              Am C G D
and life goes on and on and on
              Am C G D
and death goes on, world without end
           C G D
and you're not my friend

                   Am C G D
Who will mourn the passing of my heart
                Am C G
Will its little droppings climb the pop chart
                D C G D
Who'll take its ashes and, singing, fling
                         C G D
them from the top of the Brill Building

              Am C G D
And life goes on, and dawn, and dawn
               Am C G D
and death goes on, world without end
           C G D
and you're not my friend

This tab is correct, I just checked it against the song. Additionally, the riff at the end is on a D chord, then plucked on the high E with 2, 3, 5, 8, 5, 3, 2, 3, and back across the D.
