Great song and Roger McGuinn tells a great story to go with it.
Seems that when they were planning a low-budget biker film back in the day, Peter Fonda went to Bob Dylan and asked him to write a song for it. Dylan scribbled a few lines on a piece of paper, handed it to Mr. Fonda and told him that Roger McGuinn will know what to do with it. Fonda shows up at McGuinn's house with the sacred piece of paper which contained the recurring words of The river flows, it flows to the sea, wherever it goes that's where I want to be. The rest is history.
