Although Ricky used a Double-Necked Mosrite Joe Maphis Model for this song live,
I'm not sure what he used in the studio. He may still have used the Maphis,
but I remember Keith Strickland (the drummer) thinking that it was not used.
 
Strings Used (for live performances, at least:)
 
The strings that Ricky used (at least live, according to his Guitar Tech's Notebooks)
for this BADxG#C# tuning are as follows:
 
.054, .044, .034, empty, .018p, .018p.
 
If you don't want to go that far with strings, you could just use a set of 12s or 13s.
I'm not sure if he used these string gauges for the album version, it seems like
it might have been asking a bit too much.
