song and it is also wrong.  There is no E minor in this song at all, just the

The avett brothers are notorious for having multiple ways to play a single song. Personally I think it's almost that they forget which way they played it last time.

and after watching that video it appears the bass run back to the G chord actually the open 5 String and then the 6 string fretted at the 2nd and then 3rd.
