There's No I In Team
Taking Back Sunday

Side-note: The verses are mainly riffs and no chords,
but these chords sounds nice over the words, and follows
the basic harmonic structure of the vocals, so I thought
I'd put out this easy version for chord strummer people.

Intro:
D

Verse 1:
D
Well I can't regret,
                   A
Can't you just forget it?
                                G
I started something I couldn't finish

And if we go down,

We go down together

Best friends means,

Well best friends means

D A
And I've got a twenty-dollar bill
                     G
That says you're up late night starting
Fist fights versus fences in your backyard
             D
Wearing your black eye like a badge of honor
A
Soaking in sympathy
      G
From friends who never loved you

Nearly half as much as me

Chorus:

Bm
Broken down in bars and bathrooms
A
All I did was what I had to
G
Don't believe me when I tell you
G
It's just what anyone would do
Bm
Take the time to talk about it
A
Think a lot and live without it
G
Don't believe me when I tell you
G
It's something unforgivable...

Verse 2:
D
Well I can't regret,
                A
Can't you just forget it?
                                G
I started something I couldn't finish

If we go down,

We go down together

Best friends means,

Well best friends means

D
You never knew
             A
Well I never told you...
                        G
Everything I know about breaking hearts

I learned from you, it's true
D A
I've never done it with the style and grace you have
     G
But I've made long term plans

Based on these mistakes

Chorus:
Bm
Broken down in bars and bathrooms
A
All I did was what I had to
G
Don't believe me when I tell you
G
It's just what anyone would do
Bm
Take the time to talk about it
A
Think a lot and live without it
G
Don't believe me when I tell you
G
It's something unforgivable

Bridge(So basically, its way too confusing to write out the chord changes over the words, sorry.
But this is the basic chord structure to the bridge):

D, A, G, G

Is this what you call tact?

I swear you're as subtle as a brick in the small of my back

So let's end this call,

And end this conversation

There's nothing worse...

(That's right he said, that's right he said it)

( Have another drink and drive yourself home)

I swear, you have no idea

( I hope there's ice on all the roads)

The jealousy that became me thinking

( And you can think of me when you forget your seat belt)

(That's right he said)

( And again when your head goes through the windsheild)

That you always had it way too easy

Chorus:
Bm
Broken down in bars and bathrooms
A
All I did was what I had to
G
Don't believe me when I tell you
G
It's just what anyone would do
Bm
Take the time to talk about it
A
Think a lot and live without it
G
Don't believe me when I tell you
G
It's something unforgivable

Out-Chorus(Double your intensity):
Bm
Best friends means I pulled the trigger
A
Best friends means you get what you deserve
G
Best friends means I pulled the trigger
G
Best friends means you get what you deserve
Bm
Best friends means I pulled the trigger
A
Best friends means you get what you deserve
G
Best friends means I pulled the trigger
G
Best friends means you get what you deserve
Bm
Best friends means I pulled the trigger
A
Best friends means you get what you deserve
G
Best friend thinks I pulled the trigger!!!
G
Best friend thinks you get what you deserve!!!

Fantastic work, findin' chords that fit, man. It's almost impossible to do this song justice on acoustic, but this wounds great for a solo act. Also, in case anybody wants to still play the riff that John plays through the song, it's this over and over until chorus. e------------------------------ B------------------------------ G---76----76----76------------- D------6-----6-----6----------- A------------------------------ E------------------------------
