Give A Little Bit Supertramp
There are two chord progressions (A7 and D) at the heart of this song,
The A7 chord progression, denoted as A7 (prog), is:
A7 Bm7/A A7 Bm7/A
(2p) (5p) (2p)
A7(2p)= X02020 D= XX0232
Bm7/A = X04030; G/D= XX0787
A7(5p)= X05050. A/D= XX09-10-9
(2p = no.1 finger 2nd fret)
The D chord progression, is denoted as D(prog), is:
D G/D A/D G/D D
[Intro]
A7 D A7 D D A G A G D
A7 D A7 D D A G A G D
[Verse 1]
D A7 D A7 G A7 G

D A7 D A7 G A7 G

D A7 D G A7 G A7 G

G C G A (prog)
So find yourself, we're on our way back home
A7 (prog) A7 (prog)
Goin’ home, Don’t you need, don’t you need to feel at home? Oh yeah
D (prog) D Cadd9 G D (prog)
We gotta sing Oh, you gotta get a feelin’ Ooooohhh Come along too
D Cadd9 G D D (prog)
You come along too yeah, Come a, come a, come a, come along
prog
Cadd9 G D D
Take it too yeah, Ooooohhh Come along too.
Cadd9 G D
You come along too yeah,
Cadd9 G D Cadd9 G D
Say, take a look ______________________________________
Cadd9 G/B
Come along too Come along right
prog
Am G A7 D
Come a long way, Sing it tonight.
Please note I have denoted the A7 and D7 progressions as A7(prog) D7(prog)in order
to summarize the notation and simplify the reading. A string of 'A7 Bm7/A A7 Bm7/A
A7 Bm7/A A7 Bm7/A A7 Bm7/A A7 Bm7/A (which is what it is) only makes it more confusing.
The distinctive strumming on the first beats of signature bars (e.g. A7 D) is up on &3,
down on 4, up on &2, down on 2 (in 4/4). It then reverts to down on the 1 and
2 beats. There is some variation, but not on the signature bars (intro, verse etc.).

This is missing the G right before A7 in 6th line and screws me up every time. Otherwise good tab!
