i think what you were thinking of was: and that's not A C it's a Cadd9 E3 E3 B3 B0 G0 G0 D0 and D0 A2 A2 E3 E3 are bouth G cords

Tab is good but I'm pretty sure that your notation of an "alternate C" is a G-Major Chord, not another version of C.
