(Personally I’d rather end on G considering that’s what key it is in, but Steven chooses to end on the IV chord, the C).

Guys why are we arguing about why a song was written?! As believers in Christ we are told to not be quarrelsome but to be at peace with one another. Now personally I believe that it could have been written about the death of his daughter same as Heaven is the Face. It takes months even years for a good song to be written in that time he was writing these two songs a number of things could have happened including the passing of his daughter but you guys don't need to argue of the most simple things.

he acually changed the last "and she will be gone" to "But I know the truth is - the dance will go on". this has some serious meaning
