Wrong Key! the recorded version of this is in E major, an entire fifth higher than your A major.
also, the chords change from tonic to dominant (I-V) on the first two lines of the verses.
for your version to work, you need to add E major on each "Know" and then put your guitar on capo 7. SEVEN! on what planet is capo 7 A major easier than open E? in E you don't even have to change hand positions to get the C#m! It's easier and more accurate!
