The acoustic strumming is played in A-shape rooted at 8th fret, 10th fret, 13th fret, 12th fret, and back to 10th fret. The arpeggio at the beginning is horribly wrong as well. Not only does it not cover all the changes, but the notes are incorrect.

Hmm well judging from videos ive seen and the way John Mceoch plays it I think in fact your wrong as he plays the minimalistic arpeggio while the bass fills in the notes. The way I play it is different as I fill in the notes but im not tabbing my version. Also the electric guitar plays the shapes your talking about but the acoustic plays the chords I tabbed which if you have any knowledge of theory will see that they are in fact the same rudimentary chords as the shape you suggested. Still cheers for the correction and I'll have a look.
