DROPPED TUNING: D-G-C-F-A-D
The song will then sound in the key of D
De-tune all strings two steps below standard tuning.
Using a chromatic tuner makes this a bit easier.
The song is played in E on guitar, but, with the
full tone dropped tuning, the song will then sound
in the key of D. Note the bottom D string will be
quite slack and may need more frequent adjustment
to stay in tune during repeated practising.
I'm confident these are the chords the band plays,
but in the 2nd and last lines of the Choruses they
are quite dissonant and it takes quite a bit of
confidence to sing the melody line across them.

displays, they are generated automatically from a
generic database and often don't show the best
options for a particular chord progression. Just use
the voicings suggested in the text column numbers.

SONG FACTS
The song is inspired by a book about a woman named
Chris Costner Sizemore who was diagnosed with D.I.D.
after she witnessed two deaths and a horrible
accident within three months of each other.
Dissociative Identity Disorder (previously called
Multiple Personality Disorder) is when a traumatic
event, usually experienced as a child, causes someone
to develop individual personas (or 'alters') to deal
with different situations in life.
There was a movie, 'The Three Faces of Eve', released
in 1957, which was based on her experiences, but was
exaggerated for dramatic effect. This song was
inspired by Christine's struggle with the production
of the movie which had misrepresented her, how she
felt she had been exploited and her rights violated.

When I was young university student in Lund , Sweden, I played in some ” new wave bands/groups” , this great song from S A T B was one of favourites.
+2

I'd trust DiddyD to come up with the correct 'as played' version.
If anyone wants a simple version, I hear:
VERSES: Ebmaj7, Dm (repeat)
CHORUSES: Dm, G (repeat)
BRIDGE: A, D (repeat)
