These notes are written to simply add more accuracy to the song, not to criticize, belittle or complain. As I have all 3 versions of the song from 45 singles from 1967 & 1968 and live through this era, this is what I am hearing:
This version has mixed-up the "Chapter I" and "Chapter II" versions of the song. The last 4 lines are from the Chapter II version, so these are to be deleted, as noted for lines 13-16 below.
The song is played in Drop-D, instead of simple key of D.
Line 1: Replace the D7 with an Em7.
Line 3: Replace the D7 with an Em7.
Line 4: Add a DM7 at after the D.
Line 5: Replace the G with an Em7
Line 8: Add a DM7 after the D chord.
Line 9: Replace the D7 with an Em7.
Line 11: Remove the DM7 and Add an Em7 over "dreams".
Line 12: Ad a DM7 after the D chord.
Line 13: Delete. (does not belong in this song) These belong to the Chapter II song.
Line 14: Delete. (does not belong in this song) These belong to the Chapter II song.
Line 15: Delete. (does not belong in this song) These belong to the Chapter II song.
Line 16: Delete. (does not belong in this song) These belong to the Chapter II song.
After line 12, repeat the 1st 4 lines of the "Chorus" (lines 5-8).
Then repeat your line #8 twice as an Outro, adding once again a DM7 at the end of each line.
