1ST VERSE:
*all of the Em's and Cadd9's from the beginning of this verse until the Cadd9 played at
to cry" are all strummed like the ones shown above.
Em D(no5) Cadd9
I can take the rain on the roof of this empty house,
D(NoStrum5)
That don't bother me,
Em D(no5) Cadd9
I can take a few tears now and then and just let em out,
D(NoStrum5)Cadd9
I'm not afraid to cry every once in awhile,
(D) Em (D)
even though goin on with you gone, still upsets me,
Cadd9
there are days every now and again, I pretend I'm ok,
D
But that's a not what gets me
CHORUS:
Em D - Cadd9
What hurts the most, was being so close,
G Cadd9 - D
and having so much to say, and watching you walk away,
Em D - Cadd9
And never knowin', what could've been,
G D
And not seein that lovin you, is what I was tryin to do
Em D(no5) Cadd9

It's hard to deal with the pain of losin you everywhere I go,
D
But I'm doin' it,
Em D Cadd9
It's hard to force that smile when I see our old friends and I'm alone,
D
Still harder,
Cadd9 (D)
gettin up, gettin dressed, livin with this regret,
Em (D) Cadd9
But I know if I could do it over, I would trade, give away
D
all the words that I saved in my heart that I left unspoken
CHORUS:
Em D - Cadd9
What hurts the most, is being so close,
G Cadd9 - D
and having so much to say, and watching you walk away,
Em D - Cadd9
And never knowin', what could've been,
G D Em D - Cadd9
And not seein that lovin you, is what I was tryin to do

ok the intro is wrong I just got an account just so people can play the intro right, the arpegiation for the intro is (after the fast hammer at beginning,1-345 with fingers on 002030, and next is 3456, fingering is 000230, and last is right, but the em that you put is way wrong, there are only four strings played you can clearly hear it, just listen, but nice tab, I just listened to the song about fifty times until I got that so try it it's right.

ok the last thing the one I said was right at the end isn't, it is actually the same as the first arpegiated chord,so it's 1-345 on 002030 and then 3456 on 000230, then back to 1-345, on 002030 for the third arpegiated then just repeat and then start chords, I'm still having trouble listening for when you can add the short riff in at the beginning, but it still sounds great now that the beginning has been cleared up. everything else is great, may want to check the G chord near the end, it might be a d not sure
