Thanks a lot for this! I'd like to add that this song is played, by Bob Hartman, on a Capo 2nd fret, in D (transpose -2); Recently Live with capo on the 1st fret making it a little easier to sing. I play it in D without a capo to make it possible for my baritone voice ;)
When played in D (like BH does) it´s also always (?) played with F# in the bass when going between G and Em and it's not a Dm but a D/F# in the chorus ?!?
