Thought I gave it 5 stars when I rated it before, but it says that I only gave it three. What can I say dude? There's every chance in the world I was high as hell. Why the hell else would I try to play '80's Peter G. songs' on an acoustic guitar. I'm sure I was talked out of something even more reckless to similar effect. Cheers. Great tab! ;)

Just for confirmation, I puzzled over what Peter is saying in that intro ever since the track was first released. What I have done is my closest interpretation, at least using English words. I believe really what Peter's doing is using what he has nicknamed 'Gabrielese', which is just nonsense sounds used simply as a place holder on demos to enable him to refine his melodies until the point where he has to write some proper lyrics. He freely admits that writing lyrics is something he will often leave to the very last minute. Famously the issue came to a head on the 'So' album, when his frustrated producer, Daniel Lanois, locked Peter in a cupboard until he promised to get all the lyrics done so they could finished the album. A clear example of 'Gabrielese' is an unfinished song called 'Daddy Long Legs' which Peter debuted on his 'Back to front' tour. He very openly and bravely does the whole song singing gibberish https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5AvyjlYPaLg The song starts from about 3 minutes in. Unfortunately subtitles are not available for the clip, I would love to have seen what Google translate would have made of it.
