Btw, strumming: DD UDUD UDU
You switch chords after the 5th so eg:
G - DD UDU goes right on to Gsus2 - D UDU

Just so everyone knows, the "Gsus2" is an Dsus/F# which means a Dsus chord with an F# root (more so used as a transitional chord in most songs) between the G and another chord.
Other than that....with the D and Dsus nitpicking, it's a matter of preference and musicianship. Some notes are there as accents and don't influence the feel or flow of the song. If one person was playing and singing, they'd put most effort into the root and whether it was Maj, min, aug, or dim, etc.
