What makes Led Zeppelin tunes so attractive to the ear ? Most will immediately say it's Jimmy
Page's progressive blues riffs. But remove the bass lines from the songs and see just how
empty they become. John Paul Jones was the best all-around and technical musician in the band
and was probably the only band member to take his music seriously enough not to be completely
plastered during a concert. Lurking back in the shadows of the stage juggling instruments,
Jones kept the ship afloat at the price of being under-appreciated and ultimately abandoned
by the "devious duo."

Not bad. And I like the introduction you have. Even if everything isn't totally accurate, what you have sounds great, and it sounds great on a fretless. John also did great string arrangements on "Automatic for the people" bye REM. ~Love, Dallas~

That is the curse of the bassist. Only the band and people "in the know" really appreciate how much the talented bassist enhances the entire sound. BTW F**K REM bassplayer496--go play a mandalin!!
