Actually after another couple views, I don't think Matt goes up to the G string 5th fret at the end. Here is (as far as I can tell) the exact way the solo goes sans the variation on it the last repeat which I'm still trying to figure out. E||------------------------------|-----------------------------| B||------------------------------|--------------6--6--6--6--6--| G||--9--9--9--9--12--12--12--12--|-----------------------------| D||------------------------------|--10--10--10-----------------| A||------------------------------|-----------------------------| E||------------------------------|-----------------------------| ----------------------|| --5----5b6r5----3--1--|| ----------------------|| ----------------------|| ----------------------|| ----------------------||

Sounds right to me, and tbh, it doesn't really matter where you play it on the fretboard as long as the notes are right. The guitarist probably alters it a little every time he plays it anyway. I don't really see the point in going all the way down to the 5th, 3rd and 1st frets when the same notes are available much closer to where you start off playing, esp. if you're repeating it. Good tab.
