RHYTHM GUITAR: THIS IS WHAT THE RHYTHM GUITAR PLAYS THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE SONG
RIFF A:
* * *
E|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
B|---------12----------------15---------------14-----------------------------|
G|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
D|-9---------------12---------------11---------------------------------------|:x2
A|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
E|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
The notes with the * on top are what you'd play if you don't have a whammy, otherwise
play the same note before that but use the octave up function on the Whammy.
RIFF A1: PLAYED WHENEVER LEAD GUITAR PLAYS ITS 12b15 on B string
* * *
E|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
B|---------12----------------15---------------14-----------------------------|
G|----------------------11---------------------------------------------------|
D|-9---------------12---------------11---------------------------------------|:x2
A|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
E|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
LEAD GUITAR: PLAYS WITH QUITE A WEIRD TONE, IF SOMEONE COULD TELL ME WHAT IT IS, I'LL BE
TO UPDATE
THIS
As this song is rhythmically quite different I think its best when I tell you what time
lead component
comes
in so you can see for yourself
(0:19)
E|---------------------|
B|-12b14--------r12----|
G|---------------------|:x3 - The timings quite random and awkward but its obvious when
plays
D|---------------------|
A|---------------------|
E|---------------------|
(0:59)
E|---------------------|
B|---------------------|
G|------7--------------|
D|---------------------|
A|---------------------|
E|---------------------|
(1:07)
E|---------------------|
B|-12b14--------r12----|
G|---------------------|:x3
D|---------------------|
A|---------------------|
E|---------------------|
(1:24)
E|---------------------|
B|---------------------|
G|---------------------|
D|---------------------|
A|----0----------------|
E|---------------------|
(1:31)
E|------------0------0------0------0--------|
B|--/10-(x14)-5-(x5)-3-(x3)-5-(x4)-2-(x14)--|
G|------------------------------------------|:x3 -
D|------------------------------------------|
A|------------------------------------------|
E|------------------------------------------|
I'm not sure about how many times the notes are played
but this is a rough estimate
(1:58)
E|----------------------------------------------------------------------|
B|-------12---------12----------15----------15----------10--------10----|
G|----11----11---11----------14----14----14----14----9-----9----9----9--|
D|-/9----------9--------9/12----------12----------11---------11---------|: Repeat As necessary
A|----------------------------------------------------------------------|
E|----------------------------------------------------------------------|
Then at (2:24), the riff that played at (1:31) is played again
(2:43)
E|----------------|
B|-15/13----------|
G|----------------|
D|----------------|
A|----------------|
E|----------------|
Then the chorus cascade riff (1:58) plays again at (2:50)
Then at (3:17) theres a guitar solo, which is just basically a louder version of the one that
appears at (1:31)
Then this falls out to to leave the rhythm guitar to end

I haven't read the tab yet. But in regards to your whammy intro.
The bass does that. Not guitar. =]
Also, with the 'Wierd Tone'. He has a reverb and delay on his tone and is singing into his pick-up on the guitar.
Hope this helps

@numetalshread actually, hes correct. watch a video of them doing this song live. its a completly different thing to pinch harmonics. If it was pinch harmonics, im sure he'd have said that. Maybe do a bit of reaserch and use your common sense before going round calling people a douche, yeah?

Well the Whammy intro is actualy a bass guitar but youve done a good job tabbing it for guitar (Y) Plus what Mathew is doing is he is using a tecnique known as pickup sqealing where you put a lot of gain on a high output pickup ( it doesent have to be high output but it helps I dont think they have hihg out put pickups) And You basicaly shout or Scream into the pickup
