Just Dropped In
by Kenny Rogers and the First Edition

Notes: the guitars are so distorted it's hard to tell, but the chord
notated as Am7 might actually be A7#9 (54555x) - try both and see
which you think sounds more like the record. The bass is definitely
tuned below concert pitch (see the second break), and I suspect that
the distorted rhythm guitar is as well - try tuning to DGCFAD and
playing in Em/Fm/F#m. -- AWR

i know this song is a pain in the ass to try and work with, but... i'm pretty sure that it's a G7 instead of just a G/D and an A7 instead of Am7... and you would make the subsequent changes along with the key changes. other than that--i got the same thing. good job.

niuguitarman and the poster of this tab: You are actually both write in a way, I think the correct chord is actually a mixture of both a A7 and Am7. It contains both a major 3rd and a minor 3rd (an octave higher) and a minor 7th all rolled into one chord. It is very hard to voice in this particular key unless you use the capo on the 5th fret in which case you can play it like this: 07678(0) relative to the capo.(which also means transposing the other chords for the capo)Its a really cool chord and I have no idea what its called I just call it the Hendrix chord because he uses it in purple haze. Hope this helps :)*Edit: The chord is called A7#9 **Edit: You can play it like this without a capo: 5455xx Which is pretty similar to the chord suggested in the tab so maybe I am not adding much here.
