A session-player would actually put a capo on the first fret for this tune so that lots of open strings could sound throughout playing. It's not about being a newbie, it's about getting the best sound possible. You can't say that using a capo sounds rubbish cos it doesn't affect the sound at all. If it does for your guitar then maybe you should try adjusting the action/polishing your frets/retensioning your truss rod or just learn how to apply a capo correctly. There's no harm in playing this without a capo, but the attacks you made on his comment about it being easier if you put a capo at the first fret are somewhat harsh. This song was not written on guitar so there can not be a right or wrong way to play it, capo or not, so long as you get the right notes and chords. Be a bit more thoughtful in future.

C_Turton you're totally right... A Capo won't only make the song "easier" (are you saying barred chords is still hard for you alex32? I believe you are the newbie then) the capo will make sounds better, don't be a show off, you're the kind of little sh** who only plays barred chords because he thinks it's "cool" even though his songs sucks, open chords and barred chords are chords... after 5 "complicated" songs live on stage you'd dream to have a great but easy song to play (personal experience), if you think only complicated songs are good you're the biggest dumbas*, because so far the most complicated songs I've seen sucks the most.

Absolutely right C Turton, I have been playing for four years and would still rather use a capo than strain my wrist!! :D
