CAPO 4
[Intro]
Am F C G x2
[Verse]
Am F C G
I should know who I am by now,
Am F C G
I walk the record stand somehow,
Am F C G
Thinkin' of winter
Am F C G
Your name is the splinter inside me
C F Am G
While I wait
[Chorus]
Dm G
And I remember the sound
C F
Of your November downtown,
Dm G
And I remember the truth,
C F
A warm December with you,
G C G F
But I don't have to make this mistake,
G C G F
And I don't have to stay this way
C
If only I would wake...
[Verse]
Am F C G
The walk has all been cleared by now
Am F C G
Your voice is all I hear somehow
Am F C G
Calling out winter
Am F C G
Your voice is the splinter inside me
C F Am G
While I wait
[Chorus]
Dm G
And I remember the sound
C F
Of your November downtown,
Dm G
And I remember the truth,
C F
A warm December with you,
G C G F
But I don't have to make this mistake,
G C G F
And I don't have to stay this way
C
If only I would wake...
[Bridge]
Am G F C
I could have lost myself
Am G F C
In rough blue waters in your eyes,
Am G C
And I miss you still
[Chorus]
Dm G
Oh! I remember the sound
C F
Of your November downtown,
Dm G
And I remember the truth,
C F
A warm December with you,
G C G F
But I don't have to make this mistake,
G C G F
And I don't have to stay this way
C
If only I could wait...
[Outro]
Am G F C(hold)

there are two versions of the song; one from the album first between third and fourth - which has a capo 4th fret, and the other is the original version - which has a capo on the fifth fret. Nice tab dude, love this song

You know... All this stuff about where the capo is placed... It really doesn't matter unless you're playing along with the track. You can play it in any key you want that is fitting to whoever is singing it, just as long as the progression is the same as what's been written.
Heck, even mix it up and put your own flare to it. You could even play it with the relative chords and change the whole feel of the song. It's all down to how YOU want to play it. Be creative, music is an art after all. Just stop being so anal about things that don't even matter.

it sounds better with the capo on the 4th fret but good work, thanx!
