G C/G G C/G G C/G G C/G
Birds beneath my window dustyin' their wings upon the lawn

I hear them in the mornin' light last amen to a migratory song
        G C/G G C/G G C/G G C/G
They're never lookin' round for me - their eyes are on the sky or the ground below

A long time comin' but now the snow is gone

You were beautiful when I first saw your feathers and confectionery airs
          G C/G G C/G G C/G G C/G
Like the earth, it up and promised you the stars but you really didn't care
  G C/G G C/G G C/G G C/G
I sang in exultation, I pulled the stops - you always looked a little bored
     G C/G G C/G G C/G G C/G
I'm singing for the love of it - have mercy on the man who sings to be adored

I'm underneath your window now - it's long after the birds have gone to roost
         G C/G G C/G G C/G G C/G

By the videos, the chorus is different still. In this case (I don't know that they have names...): Am: XX0210 slide-Am: XX0530 (just slide down 3 frets) C: X02010 slide-C: X05030 (slide down 3 again) Am slide-Am Hello blackbird, hello starling, C slide-C Winter's over, be my darling Watch a video and try it and I think it will make sense.

Chorus sounds slightly off. I have it as: Am Em7* Hello blackbird, hello starling, C Dsus4 Winter's over, be my darling Em7: x20030

Dave is right on the voicings- slid up Am and C shapes makes variants on Bm and D- just as Dylan-esque as the C/C/g pattern.
