Dm
Last night I had a dream
Dm/A# Dm
That we fell in love under moonlight
Dm/A#
You and I will always touch
Em A
But the morning came too soon
Em A
I woke up without you
- Chorus -
D G
And if you want me
D* A
Why do you look the other way?
D G
If you need me
D* A
Why do you say the things you say?
D G
If you love me
D* A
Why do we play the games we play?
B G
Am I in love with the dreamer?
D* A Dm
Or am I just in love with the dream?
Second verse same as the first:
When I dream, girl
You're the dream that might come true
When you dream, girl
Do you even know it's you?
Dreams are lies in skin
But dreams can't tuck me in
- Chorus -
Dm A#
Oh
D A
I believe it
Dm A#
Hey
D v(here he does something cool with the D chord)
Are you leaving so soon?
Dm A#
Hey
D A
When you leave me,
D D# A
You leave me with a hope
A# G Dm
That my dream with you might come true
True, true, true
- Chorus -
The same but end on D*
So if you love me
Why do you look the other way?
If you need me
Why do you say the things you say?
If you love me
Why would we play the games we play?
Am I in love with a dreamer?
Or am I just in love,
Am I in love with the dreamer?
Or am I just in love,
Am I in love with the dreamer?
I'm not sure I'm still in love with the dream.

i think in the bridge, the D in "i believe it/are you leaving" is an F. and the "cool thing" is a switch from D on 10 fret to a G on 10 fret(and then back). i think. like:
F D to G
e|----8------10----10----|
B|----10-----10----12----|
G|----10-----11----12----|
D|----10-----12----12----|
A|----8------12----10----|
E|----8------10----10----|

I'm pretty sure the first D in the chorus progression is a Bm and that B you put at the end of the chorus is also a Bm. Thats how've I've been playing it since it was first played in 07
